The spreadsheet is amazing, but the discussion of equity and the way the publishers exploit poets through the submission process is also very helpful. thank you.

Thank you for hard work to help hard-working poets!

Thank you so much for doing this intense labor. It's really helpful to see, in numbers, just how inequitable and dodgy so many publishers and prizes are.

You are shining a bright light in a very dim world. When I started submitting my second manuscript, I made a commitment (to me, to books) to avoid presses whose books are only available through Amazon. Bookstores are crucial to the world I want to live in, so I want to operate in an environment that they have a place in. I not only learned how many otherwise attractive presses this knocked out of the running, I also discovered how very hard distribution information is to get from many websites. I can only imagine the digging you have to do! Thank you for your vital service!

Thanks so much, Kelly -- hoping that this information gets easier to find as we collectively ask about it, share it, crowdsource what we've learned, etc. Every little bit helps! Good luck as you send out your second manuscript!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for such a FANTASTIC resource. I'm still climbing the hill of publishing individual poems and am grateful not to have to reinvent this particular wheel when the full collection is ready. Congrats on your forthcoming first book !!
